I've got the engine out of my 91 TT and while changing the valve cover gaskets, I was planning to do the PCV reroute. I've never actually noticed any problems with my exhaust smoking during strong right turns, but I just figured the PCV reroute couldn't hurt anything, and I might as well do it while I've got the engine out of the car. Inside my driver's side exhaust valve cover, there is a metal cover which seems to block oil from getting shot up into the PCV holes. Is this cover present on 1990 Z32s? If not, I guess that would explain why so many other people have noticed oil getting into their intakes during strong right turns, yet I've never noticed this problem, even during autocrosses and while doing donuts. Any thoughts? Is the PCV reroute only useful on 1990 engines?
